“Our goal in booking these amazing bands was to choose performers who have had a huge part in the successes of Pioneer Place over the years,” said Dan Barth, Co-Founder of Pioneer Place. “This dynamic group of bands have never all shared the same stage at the same time before, so this is going to be a spectacular evening filled with many surprises.”
The stage for the concert will be in the southwest corner of the House of Pizza parking lot, with the sound spreading out onto Fifth Avenue in front of Pioneer Place. This event is 21+ and the whole area will be fenced in and include several food and beverage vendors including Nick’s Third Floor, House of Pizza, and Greek Cravings. Chef Dan Dean of Nick’s will be hosting a “crawfish boil” as well as preparing his special ribs for the event.
The Pioneer Place Building at 22 Fifth Avenue South in Downtown St. Cloud was built in 1913 as an Elks Club. Its unique architecture features four grand granite pillars with a beautiful set of two porches across the front. The building has been home to many businesses over the past century including the Stearns County Theatrical Company, Tootsie’s Cards and Gifts and Michael’s Stained Glass Studio. Brothers Mark and Dan Barth took ownership of the building in 1998 and opened the theatre as Pioneer Place in September of 1999. They added The Veranda Lounge Bar in September of 2005.
“Throughout the year we are hosting a series of events to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of this building. But we couldn’t think of anything more appropriate than a great, old-fashioned street dance and party with some of the best bands our community is so blessed to have,” Barth continued.
