| The Nerd Presented by: Starting Gate Productions Directed by: Richard Jackson September 24-27, October 1-4, 8-11 Now an aspiring young architect in Terre Haute, Indiana, Willum Cubbert has often told his friends about the debt he owes to Rick Steadman, a fellow ex-GI whom he has never met but who saved has life after he was seriously wounded in Vietnam. He has written to Rick to say that, as long as he is alive, "you will have somebody on Earth who will do anything for you"--so Willum is delighted when Rick shows up unexpectedly at his apartment on the night of his thirty-fourth birthday party. But his delight soon fades as it becomes apparent that Rick is a hopeless "nerd"--a bumbling oaf with no social sense, little intelligence, and less tact. And Rick stays on and on, his continued presence among Willum and his friends leading to one uproarious incident after another, until the normally placid Willum finds himself contemplating violence--a dire development which, happily, is staved off by the surprising "twist" ending of the play.

| Hamlet Written by: William Shakespeare Presented by: 3am Productions Directed by: Michael Kelley October 22-25, 29, 30, Nov. 5-8 In Hamlet, Shakespeare writes that he intends to "hold a mirror up to nature", to show us ourselves; in 3AM’s Production this is one of the innate themes to our story. Hamlet is the catalyst to this theme. There is the perceived world juxtaposed with reality. As Hamlet uncovers the deception, corruption and poison of the family and state we see an ordinary young man go through an extraordinary rite of passage. Hamlet is faced with the battle of good versus evil and ultimately chooses the truth. The corruption starts at its base; in the intimate world of the family, it breeds into the court and ultimately contaminates the entire state of Denmark. Like the poison that courses through Hamlet’s father’s body, the corruption seeps through the entire story. In the end we have a moral duty to ourselves to question the contagion and take a stand against no matter the cost.

Fishing Widows: The Reel Story Decades of a shared fishing opener weekend have forged a powerful sisterhood between Annie, Sarah and Betsy in this brand new musical comedy. These foxy “fishing widows” are joined by delightful teenaged daughter, Stefanie, and potential daughter in law, Quinn, who is “trying on her fit” in anticipation of an imminent marriage proposal. Layers of the heart are peeled away as the weekend unfolds, revealing honest truths, and the complexity of their relationships with their men. While the hobby of choice of men differs, the commonality of humor, frustration, and angst is universal. This delightful musical celebrates the strength and necessity of women friendships, and is a mustsee for any man who believes the real action is on the water. |

| The Odd Couple Written by: Neil Simon Presented by: Paul Bunyan Playhouse Directed by: Peter Moore February 18-21, 26-28, March 5-7 Written by Neil Simon, The Odd Couple tells the story of two mismatched friends, Felix Unger and Oscar Madison. Felix is a neat, tidy, and healthy nut, a photographer at a portrait studio, and a connoisseur of classical music. Because of this, his wife divorced Felix and threw him out of his apartment for good. Desperately in the need of a place to live, he moves in with his longtime childhood friend, Oscar Madison, a sports journalist for the New York Times. What he realizes is that Oscar is the exact opposite of him: sloppy, messy, and doesn't eat the right foods. Felix's cleaning, hygienic tips, and healthiness annoys Oscar while Oscar's crazy world of living like a pig upsets Felix. But in the process they'll learn that love, trust, and friendship are more important than living in different worlds. Starring Zach Curtis and Ari Hoptman.
