Scott Keever is a guitarist/composer, specializing in solo fingerpicking acoustic guitar, and is influenced by American, Balkan and Celtic folks styles, as well as jazz and classical. Scott studied guitar at the University of MN (Minneapolis), and Amala School of Romany Music and Culture (Valjevo, Serbia). As a soloist, he has opened up for Pat Donohue, and has performed at Chateau St. Croix, The Minnesota Centennial Showboat, The 221, Weisman Art Museum and Bedlam Theatre. He currently plays guitar for Orkestar Bez Ime, an award-winning ensemble which specializes in Balkan and Eastern music. He also plays acoustic and electric guitars for Americana/Celtic rock band The Sweet Colleens.
In 2018, Scott released a solo album titled “Solo Guitar: Vol. 1” which contains all original compositions, expressing his interest in world music, open tunings and various stylistic influences.
